The Phoenix Suns play host to the San Antonio Spurs at the PHX Arena on Saturday night.

The San Antonio Spurs have been in a real slump as they’ve lost seven of their past nine games and they will be looking to avoid a third straight loss after last night’s 107-106 home loss to the Trailblazers. DeMar DeRozan led the team with 26 points and 10 assists on 11 of 25 shooting, Jakob Poeltl added 17 points with eight rebounds and three blocks while Dejounte Murray tallied a triple-double of 13 points with 11 rebounds and 10 assists. As a team, the Spurs shot 47 percent from the field and seven of 23 from the 3-point line as they held the Trailblazers to just 20 points in the second quarter to build a 16-point lead, before getting run down late as the Trailblazers closed the final 1:15 on a 6-0 run to steal the game late.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have been on an absolute tear as they’ve won 11 of their past 12 games and they will be looking for a fifth straight win after taking down the Kings in a 122-114 home win on Thursday. DeAndre Ayton led the team with 26 points and 11 rebounds on 10 of 11 shooting, Devin Booker added 23 points while Chris Paul chipped in with 13 points, 11 assists and three steals. As a team, the Suns shot a healthy 55 percent from the field and 14 of 38 from the 3-point line, but they couldn’t shake the slumping Kings until the fourth quarter where they held them to just 15 points in the final 9:50.

Looking at the betting trends, the Spurs are 7-2 ATS in their last nine road games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team above .600. The Suns are 17-7 ATS in their last 24 home games and 43-20 ATS in their last 63 games overall.

Head to head, the Spurs are 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings in Phoenix.

The Spurs haven’t been able to build much momentum lately and their confidence took a real hit after squandering a 16-point lead against the Trailblazers last night, while the Suns are coming into this game with plenty of momentum as they’ve won 11 of 12 and have been one of the most consistent teams all season. The line seems a little hefty, but the Spurs are playing on zero days’ rest, so I’m going with the Suns who are 17-7 ATS in their last 24 home games.
