The New York Knicks invade the Crypto.com Arena to take on the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday night.

The New York Knicks look to have cooled off from their nine-game win streak as they are now hoping to snap a three-game losing streak after getting beaten by the Clippers in a 106-95 loss last night. Immanuel Quickley led the team with 26 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, Julius Randle added 19 points with eight rebounds and three assists while RJ Barrett chipped in with 11 points. As a team, the Knicks shot just 35 percent from the field and seven of 31 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the Knicks in a close contest, until the fourth quarter where they got outscored by 30-21 to come up well short in the end.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers have been in red-hot form as they’ve won seven of their last nine games overall and they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after beating the Raptors in a 122-112 home win on Friday. D’Angelo Russell led the way with 28 points and nine assists, Dennis Schroder added 23 points, seven assists and four steals off the bench while Austin Reaves chipped in with 18 points and five assists. As a team, the Lakers shot 56 percent from the field and 13 of 30 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in trouble when they squandered an early lead to fall behind by 15 points, before they exploded for 37 points in the fourth quarter to walk away with the much-needed win. The biggest difference between the teams was their bench play as the Lakers’ reserves outscored the Raptors’ reserves by 61-12.

Looking at the betting trends, the Knicks are 21-7-2 ATS in their last 30 games playing on zero days rest, 32-12 ATS in their last 44 road games and 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a losing record. The Lakers are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games, 6-2 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a winning record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the over is 9-4 in the last 13 meetings overall.

The Knicks could be shorthanded once again as Duane Washington Jr and Jalen Brunson are both questionable, while the Lakers are still missing LeBron James. The Knicks have really gone off the boil with three losses on the trot and now they have to play their second game of a back to back set against the Lakers who are playing their best basketball of the season. Davis has been a monster for the Lakers and they look so much more dangerous with Russell back in the starting lineup, so I’ll back the Lakers to stay hot with another win here.
