The Minnesota Timberwolves play host to the Denver Nuggets at the Target Center on Sunday night.

The Denver Nuggets will be eager to complete the series sweep after taking down the Timberwolves in a 120-111 win in Game 3 on Friday. Michael Porter Jr. led the team in scoring with 25 points on 10 of 17 shooting, Nikola Jokic racked up a triple-double of 20 points with 11 rebounds and 12 assists while Jamal Murray tallied 18 points with six rebounds and nine assists. As a team, the Nuggets shot 57 percent from the field and 13 of 32 from the 3-point line as they poured in 33 points in the second quarter build a 13-point lead, before holding off a furious rally from the Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards who did his best to spoil the party. It was a real balanced scoring effort from the Nuggets as they had a total of six players finish in double figures in scoring.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves will be hoping to avoid getting swept after coming up short against the Nuggets in Game 3 on Friday. Anthony Edwards led the team with 36 points, seven rebounds and five assists on 10 of 22 shooting, Karl-Anthony Towns added 27 points on 10 of 17 shooting while Rudy Gobert tallied 18 points with 10 rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 45 percent from the field and 10 of 27 from the 3-point line as they allowed the Nuggets off to a quick start and were always fighting an uphill battle after falling behind by double digits despite Edwards almost singlehandedly dragging the team back into the contest.

Looking at the betting trends, the Nuggets are 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games, 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall. The Timberwolves are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 home games, 1-4 ATS in their last five games following a loss and 0-4 ATS in their last four Conference Quarterfinals games.

Head to head, the over is 7-2-1 in the last 10 meetings overall, the Nuggets are 24-7-1 ATS in the last 32 meetings in Minnesota and the Nuggets are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings overall.

The Nuggets haven’t dominated this series, but they’ve clearly been the better, deeper team and they are 24-7-1 ATS in the last 32 meetings in Minnesota. The Timberwolves have shown flashes of their potential in this series, but they are only 2-8 ATS in their last 10 home games and I don’t see them holding off the Nuggets in this one. Give me the Nuggets to complete the sweep and advance.
