For the third game on tonight’s NBA schedule, we have an inter-conference tilt, and here you can check out the Cavaliers vs Grizzlies Player Prop Bets on Thursday, February 1. The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking for the fourth win in a row, while the Memphis Grizzlies hope to avoid the third straight defeat.

Cavaliers vs Grizzlies Player Prop Bets – Donovan Mitchell Under 28.5 Points (-110)

Donovan Mitchell erupted for 45 points in the most recent game against the Pistons, but I expect him to return back to earth against a solid Memphis defense. Mitchell leads the Cavaliers in points per game (28.2) this season, but he scored 29+ in just two of the previous six games.

Mitchell’s record against the Grizzlies is not great. In 15 career games against Memphis, Mitchell averaged 20.7 ppg and that’s the fewest point average against any team in the NBA. Memphis allows 20.6 ppg to the opposing shooting guards – the third-best record in the league.

The Grizzlies do have a lot of injured players, but they always play sturdy team defense. They kept the rivals below 107 points in four of the last five games. The Cavs now have Darius Garland and Evan Mobley back from injuries, so I suppose they will take some of Mitchell’s shots, so his usage could drop tonight.

Jaren Jackson Jr. Over 2.5 Steals and Blocks (+105)

Jaren Jackson Jr. is averaging career-highs in points (21.9) and minutes per game (31.7), but his blocks (1.6) dropped from last year’s 3.0 bpg. Surprisingly, Jackson failed to record a block or a steal just for the second time this season when the Grizzlies faced the Kings last time out. I am backing him to return to his normal defensive contribution in this one.

Prior to that game against Sacramento, Jaren registered at least one steal in five consecutive games, while he had a minimum of a block in four straight. The injury-depleted Grizzlies will need Jackson’s sturdy D against the Cavs and their two bigs Mobley and Allen.

The last time he met the Cavaliers, Jackson Jr. had four blocks and two steals. Half of that would be just enough for us to hit this bet. Cleveland allows 1.4 spg and 1.00 bpg to the opposing power forwards. I have a feeling that Jackson will get 2+ blocks here.

These are tricky picks at first glance, but I am sure both of the Cavaliers vs Grizzlies Player Prop Bets will hit. For more NBA prop picks, you’re welcome to read the 76ers vs Jazz Player Prop Bets on Thursday, February 1.
