The Sacramento Kings have been in decent shape as they’ve won four of their last seven games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after having their three-game win streak halted by the Heat in a 121-110 loss on Monday. Keegan Murray led the team with 28 points on 10 of 14 shooting, De’Aaron Fox added 27 points with eight rebounds and six assists while Domantas Sabonis tallied a triple-double of 14 points with 14 rebounds and 10 assists. As a team, the Kings shot 52 percent from the field and 13 of 32 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Heat in a tightly contested first half, only to let it all go to waste in the third quarter where they got outscored by 36-19 to trail by as many as 20 points. To be fair, the Kings showed some fight to cut the 20-point deficit to just two points in the fourth quarter, only to allow the Heat off the hook in the end. The Kings will face the Timberwolves after this game.

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets have been in fine form as they’ve won eight of their last 12 games overall and they will be gunning for a fourth straight win after routing the Warriors in a 119-103 road win on Sunday. Nikola Jokic led the team with a triple-double of 32 points with 16 rebounds and 16 assists, Jamal Murray added 27 points on nine of 16 shooting while Aaron Gordon chipped in with 17 points on seven of 10 shooting. As a team, the Nuggets shot 48 percent from the field and 11 of 32 from the 3-point line as they struggled to match the Warriors early on and quickly found themselves trailing by 16 points, but they played great defense to hold the Warriors’ Stephen Curry to just one of 10 from the 3-point line which made it easy for them to run away with it in the fourth quarter. The Nuggets will take on the Lakers after this one.

The Kings could be shorthanded once again with De’Aaron Fox still listed as questionable, while the Nuggets are keeping an eye on Hunter Tyson who is also questionable. The Kings were on a nice run before they got stopped in their tracks by the shorthanded Heat in their last outing and they will like their chances against the Nuggets who they’ve already beaten three times this season. The Nuggets are the team in better form and I’m sure they will get the win in this one, but the Kings are capable of pulling off the upset again if Fox is able to suit up. Be sure to check the lineups before tipoff, but assuming that Fox is available, I’m leaning towards the Kings to keep this one within the number.
