 The Memphis Grizzlies have been doing it tough lately as they’ve lost 11 of their last 13 games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after getting thrashed by the Nets in a 111-86 loss on Monday. Lamar Stevens led the team in scoring with 17 points on eight of nine shooting off the bench, Jaren Jackson Jr added 15 points on two of 12 shooting while Luke Kennard chipped in with 11 points. As a team, the Grizzlies shot just 38 percent from the field and seven of 26 from the 3-point line as they struggled to keep up right from the start, scoring just 18 points in the first quarter to fall behind by double digits right away only to see the deficit balloon to 30 points at one stage.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been in great form as they’ve won six of their last seven games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after taking down the Spurs in a 114-105 home win last night. Anthony Edwards led the team with 34 points and five assists, Naz Reid provided the spark off the bench with 22 points on eight of 10 shooting while Rudy Gobert tallied 13 points with 17 rebounds and four blocks. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 46 percent from the field and 13 of 31 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the Spurs in the first half to take an early 24-point lead, before they survived a late scare from the Spurs who poured in 38 points in the fourth quarter. The Timberwolves will meet the Kings and Clippers after this one.

The Grizzlies are still missing a host of players including Ja Morant, Brandon Clarke and Desmond Bane, while the Timberwolves will again be missing Kyle Anderson and Karl-Anthony Towns.  The Grizzlies have really been struggling to keep their heads above water and that’s understandable given the injuries they’ve had to deal with all season, but I don’t think they’re going to get any sympathy from the Timberwolves who have already beaten them three times this season, each time by double digits. The line is hefty for this one, but I’m actually sticking with the Timberwolves to complete the season sweep with another comfortable win here.
