The Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers lock horns at the Crypto.com Arena on Wednesday night. Here’s a Lakers vs Clippers Prediction.

Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers have been in pretty good form as they’ve won seven of their last 10 games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back in this one after getting beaten by the Suns in a 123-113 road loss on Sunday. LeBron James led the team with 28 points, seven rebounds and 12 assists, Anthony Davis added 22 points with 13 rebounds while D’Angelo Russell chipped in with 20 points and seven assists. As a team, the Lakers shot 52 percent from the field and 15 of 35 from the 3-point line, but they allowed the Suns to get off to a hot start and were always fighting an uphill battle after getting outscored by 45-28 in the first quarter. The Lakers showed plenty of fight to cut a 20-point deficit to just two points late in the third quarter, but they went cold in the fourth quarter and came up short.

 Los Angeles Clippers

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have been in fine form as they’ve won seven of their last 11 games, but they will be hoping for a better showing in this one after getting run over by the Kings in a 123-107 loss on Sunday. Norman Powell led the team with 21 points on eight of 17 shooting, Kawhi Leonard and James Harden scored 20 points each while Ivica Zubac chipped in with 16 points on eight of nine shooting. As a team, the Clippers shot 48 percent from the field and eight of 27 from the 3-point line, but they didn’t play their usual brand of defense as the Kings were always in control after dominating the second quarter by 33-23. Powell had a rare start for the Clippers, but that really made their bench look thin, especially when Russell Westbrook scores just eight points on three of 10 shooting. The Clippers will play against the Wizards and Timberwolves after this game.

Los Angeles Clippers Team Facts

  • The Clippers have won each of their last eight games against Western Conference opponents following a loss.
  • The Clippers have covered the spread in each of their last seven home games against Western Conference opponents after losing as favorites.
  • Each of the Clippers’ last five games as favorites have gone UNDER the total points line.

Los Angeles Lakers Team Facts

  • The Lakers have lost each of their last nine games on the first leg of a back-to-back against the Clippers.
  • The Lakers have covered the spread in seven of their last eight games against Pacific Division opponents following a loss.
  • Seven of the Lakers’ last eight games against the Clippers following a road loss have gone UNDER the total points line.

Lakers vs Clippers Prediction

The Lakers are missing some players once again with Christian Wood still listed as out and LeBron James listed as questionable, while the Clippers will be without Paul George who is dealing with a knee injury at the moment. The Clippers are the deeper team overall compared to the Lakers, but the absence of George really makes this an even matchup at this stage of the season. You can make an argument for either side here, but the Lakers have the edge in depth scoring and I think that will be the difference in a close one here.
