The Denver Nuggets play host to the Washington Wizards at the Ball Arena on Thursday night.
The Washington Wizards have been in pretty good shape lately as they’ve won six of their past nine games, but they will be hoping to bounce back after having their five-game win streak snapped by the Clippers in a 135-116 road loss on Tuesday. Bradley Beal led the team with 28 points and 10 assists, Mo Wagner added 21 points with seven rebounds and five assists while Russell Westbrook racked up 20 points with nine rebounds and 10 assists. As a team, the Wizards shot 53 percent from the field and 11 of 20 from the 3-point line as they cut a 17-point halftime deficit to just five points at the end of the third quarter, only to get blown out in the fourth quarter.
Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets have been in decent shape as they’ve won five of their last eight games and they will be looking to stay hot after taking down the red-hot Trailblazers in a 111-106 home win on Tuesday. Nikola Jokic led the team with 41 points and five assists on 17 of 32 shooting, Jamal Murray added 24 points with eight assists while Michael Porter Jr. chipped in with 12 points and 10 rebounds. As a team, the Nuggets shot 42 percent from the field and 14 of 36 from the 3-point line as they squandered an early 12-point lead, before going on a pivotal 11-2 run midway through the fourth quarter to escape with the win.
Looking at the betting trends, the Wizards are 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall. The Nuggets are 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall.

The Wizards were in pretty good shape before getting routed by the Clippers in their last outing, so a big upset isn’t out the question here. However, the Nuggets are the deeper team in better form and they just took down one of the hottest teams in the Trailblazers. The Nuggets still have a long list of injuries, but their key players are there and playing well, so I’m taking the Nuggets at home in this one.
