The Memphis Grizzlies travel to the Chase Center to battle the Golden State Warriors on Monday night. Here’s a Warriors vs Grizzlies Prediction. This article will include a Warriors vs Grizzlies Pick.

Memphis Grizzlies Betting Preview

The Memphis Grizzlies have won two of their first three games and they will be eager to build some momentum after making light work of the Pacers in a 128-103 home win on Saturday. Cedric Coward led the team in scoring with 27 points, six rebounds, and four assists on nine of 13 shooting off the bench. Ja Morant added 19 points with eight assists in 27 minutes of action, while Jaren Jackson Jr chipped in with 17 points on six of 11 shooting.
As a team, the Grizzlies shot 45 percent from the field and 15 of 39 from the 3-point line as they poured in 37 points in the second quarter to take an eight-point lead into halftime. Before they exploded for 43 points in the third quarter to put the game to bed early. No starter played more than 27 minutes and the only blemish from the win was Jaylen Wells who shot two of 10 from the field and zero of seven from the 3-point line to finish with just five points.

Golden State Warriors Betting Preview

Meanwhile, the Golden State Warriors started their season with a couple of impressive wins in a row, but they came back down to Earth with a 139-119 road defeat to the Trail Blazers on Friday. Stephen Curry drained seven 3-pointers to lead the team with 35 points, six rebounds and three assists on 12 of 22 shooting, Jonathan Kuminga added 16 points with eight rebounds and three assists while Jimmy Butler III chipped in with 14 points and four assists. As a team, the Warriors shot 43 percent from the field and 16 of 38 from the 3-point line.
Perhaps it was because they were playing on zero days’ rest, but they were poor on defense and were always fighting an uphill battle after allowing 41 points in the second quarter. Curry tried his best to keep the Warriors within striking distance on his own, but he got next to no support from his bench as no reserve player scored more than eight points. Brandin Podziemski had a rough game of just eight points on two of nine shooting, while Moses Moody shot just one of six for his seven points.

Warriors vs Grizzlies Prediction

The Grizzlies are still shorthanded with Brandon Clarke, Zach Edey, Scotty Pippen Jr and Ty Jerome all out, while the Warriors have ruled out Al Horford and De’Anthony Melton once again. The Grizzlies are just so banged up at the moment with underrated players like Brandon Clarke and Zach Edey both out, but I don’t think they should be almost double-digit underdogs at this early stage of the season.
Sure, I get why the Warriors are favorites at home, and I am sure they will win this one, but the Grizzlies looked great in their last outing and I think they will be up for this contest. The Warriors beat the Grizzlies in three of four meetings last season, but each of those wins came by single digits, and I think we’re about to see that trend continue here.
