Dallas Mavericks Betting Preview
The Dallas Mavericks came into the postseason with almost no momentum, but they are coming into this one full of confidence after taking down the Kings in a dominant 120-106 road win on Tuesday. Anthony Davis led the team with 27 points, nine rebounds and three blocks, Klay Thompson provided the early spark with 23 points on eight of 11 shooting, while PJ Washington and Brandon Williams each scored 17 points. As a team, the Mavericks shot 49 percent from the field and 14 of 28 from the 3-point line. However, this win was all about their effort in the second quarter where they outscored the Kings by 44-19 to lead by as many as 26 points at one stage. The presence of Dereck Lively and Anthony Davis in the front court gave the Kings fits all night and they got plenty of support from role players like Washington and Williams in the scoring department.
Memphis Grizzlies Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies weren’t anywhere near their best towards the end of the regular season and they will be kicking themselves after falling short to the Warriors in a tough 121-116 road defeat on Tuesday. Desmond Bane led the team with 30 points, six rebounds and four assists on 11 of 21 shooting. Ja Morant added 22 points on nine of 18 shooting, Jaren Jackson Jr scored 18 points with six rebounds and four assists, while Zach Edey chipped in with 14 points and 17 assists. As a team, the Grizzlies shot 48 percent from the field and 12 of 26 from the 3-point line as they struggled to get going. They had to work their way back from an early 20-point deficit to take the lead in the fourth quarter, but they went cold and scored just 15 points in the final 8:17 to allow the Warriors to slip away in a close contest.

Grizzlies vs Mavericks Prediction
The Mavericks are still short-handed with Kyrie Irving still out, while the Grizzlies have ruled out Brandon Clarke, and they have listed Ja Morant as questionable for this one. These two squads met four times during the regular season, and it was the Grizzlies who won the last three meetings to take the series by 3-1. The Mavericks looked like a different team on Tuesday, especially on the defensive end, but the Grizzlies’ three wins over the Mavericks were all blowouts, especially their last meeting on Apr. 13 where they won by 132-97. I wouldn’t be shocked if the Mavericks pulled off the upset, but I think the line is short enough for me to back the Grizzlies at home.
