The two guards found their place in our Hawks vs Kings NBA Player Props for Monday, January 22. One of the most exciting games of today’s NBA schedule will take place in the capital of California, where the Sacramento Kings host the Atlanta Hawks. The Kings are desperate to avoid the fifth defeat in a row, while the Hawks won three of the last four.

Hawks vs Kings NBA Player Props – Dejounte Murray Over 37.5 Points, Assists, and Rebounds (-110)

The strongest argument for this pick is the fact Trae Young is missing the game with a concussion. He is in the NBA concussion protocol right now, which is a great chance for Dejounte Murray to dominate the floor offensively for the Hawks. It means that Murray will be the main assist-maker for Atlanta in this one.

He averages 5.0 apg this year compared to Young’s 10.8 apg. Murray registered 21 dishes over the past three games, which is 7.0 on average. Dejounte combined for over 37.5 points, assists, and rebounds in two of the previous four outings, and scored 22+ points in nine of the last 11.

Murray didn’t play well in the latest duel against the Kings (18 pts, 6 reb, and 3 ast), while he was 7 of 20 from the field. However, he will get 35+ minutes here due to Young’s absence, and I am backing him to flourish.

Sacramento allows 40.23 combined points, assists, and rebounds to the opposing point guards. That’s another reason I am going with Dejounte.

De’Aaron Fox Over 2.5 Threes Made (-115)

For the second pick in the Hawks vs Kings NBA Player Props, I’ll go with the Kings’ PG. I like this pick very much because of several reasons. Firstly, De’Aaron Fox has been in excellent form recently; he scored 21+ points in five of the last six games. Secondly, he scored 3+ triples in four of those six games, including nine combined over the past two showings.

And the final and most important argument, Fox bagged a career-high eighth three-pointers in the previous H2H against the Hawks! Now, I don’t expect him to repeat such a performance on Monday, but I am pretty sure he will make at least three triples.

I’m aware of the fact that his direct guardian, Murray, is a much better defender than Trae Young, but Fox has what it takes to drain three shots from downtown against any opponents in the NBA. Atlanta allows 3.04 three-pointers per game to the opposing point guards.
