The Houston Rockets play host to the Golden State Warriors at the Toyota Center on Monday night.

The Golden State Warriors have been in fine form as they’ve won six of their past seven games and they will be eager to build on their current five-game win streak after sneaking past the Nets in a 110-106 home win on Saturday. Andrew Wiggins led the team with 24 points, Stephen Curry added 19 points while Otto Porter Jr. and Klay Thompson each scored 16 points. As a team, the Warriors shot just 40 percent from the field and 14 of 45 from the 3-point line, but they held the Nets to just 20 points in the first quarter to take an early 19-point lead, but they squandered it and really had to fight till the end and escape on free throws.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets have been in a rut as they’ve lost seven of their past 10 games and they will be looking to snap a three-game skid after getting routed by the Trail Blazers in a 125-110 home loss on Friday. Christian Wood led the team with 21 points, 15 rebounds and three assists, Garrison Matthews added 21 points while Jalen Green and Kenyon Martin Jr each scored 17 points. As a team, the Rockets shot 48 percent from the field and 10 of 41 from the 3-point line as they looked out of sorts right from the start and managed just 20 points in the first quarter to fall behind by 13 points at halftime, before allowing 34 points in the fourth quarter in an ugly finish.

Looking at the betting trends, the Warriors are 1-5 ATS in their last six road games, 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games playing on one days’ rest. The Rockets are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team above .600, 14-40 ATS in their last 54 home games and 5-14 ATS in their last 19 games overall.

Head to head, the under is 12-5-1 in the last 18 meetings in Houston and the Warriors are 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall.

The Warriors will again be missing some players like Draymond Green, Otto Porter Jr and Andre Iguodala who are all out while Nemanja Bjelica is listed as questionable. The Rockets will again be without Usman Garuba and Kevin Porter Jr. The Warriors are clearly the hotter team in better form coming into this meeting and it’s no surprise that they’re heavy road favorites in this one. The Rockets are more than capable of keeping this one close if they can get off to a quick start, but there’s just no betting against the Warriors while they’re playing this well and they’re only getting better the more Thompson sees the court.
