The Philadelphia 76ers invade the Kaseya Center to do battle with the Miami Heat on Christmas Day. Here’s a 76ers vs Heat Prediction.

Philadelphia 76ers 

The Philadelphia 76ers have been in great form as they’ve won eight of their last nine games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after outlasting the Raptors in a 121-111 home win on Friday. Tobias Harris led the team in scoring with 33 points, eight rebounds and seven assists, Tyrese Maxey added 33 points with 10 assists on 13 of 22 shooting while Joel Embiid tallied 31 points with 10 rebounds and nine assists. As a team, the 76ers shot 53 percent from the field and 14 of 31 from the 3-point line as they took their time getting started and quickly found themselves trailing by 15 points, but they woke up in the second quarter and outpaced the Raptors the rest of the way despite getting only nine points from their bench players. After this one, the Sixers will meet the Magic, Rockets, Bulls, and Knicks.

Miami Heat 

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have been in decent shape as they’ve won five of their last seven games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after beating the Hawks by 122-113 on Friday. Tyler Herro drained seven 3-pointers to lead the way with 30 points, Duncan Robinson provided the spark off the bench with 27 points on eight of 11 shooting, Jaime Jacquez Jr. scored 19 points while Bam Adebayo tallied 18 points with 11 rebounds and six assists. As a team, the Heat shot 46 percent from the field and 17 of 39 from the 3-point line as they traded blows with the Hawks in a tight contest, until they closed the final 7:50 on a 16-9 run to pull away and escape with the gritty win without Jimmy Butler in the lineup. The Heat will get on a five-game road trip after this one. They will open it against the Golden State Warriors.

76ers vs Heat Prediction

The 76ers are going to be shorthanded for this one with Nicolas Batum and Joel Embiid both ruled out, while the Heat are keeping eyes on Haywood Highsmith and Jimmy Butler who are both questionable here. The injuries to both teams really spoils what could’ve been a fun matchup, but I still think we’re going to see a close game here. The Heat will need another big game from Herro if Butler sits out again, so I’m more interested in the 76ers in this spot. Of course, the 76ers are weaker without Embiid, but Harris is coming off one of his best games and Maxey has been in mid-season form since the start of the season. This should be a close one, but I think the 76ers get the win on the road.
