The Portland Trailblazers and the Minnesota Timberwolves duke it out once again at the Target Center on Sunday night.

The Portland Trailblazers have been in terrific form as they’ve won four of their past five games and they will be looking to stay hot after sneaking past the Timberwolves in a 125-121 road win last night. Carmelo Anthony led the team with 26 points and six assists off the bench, Damian Lillard added 25 points with 10 assists while Enes Kanter chipped in with 20 points and 11 rebounds. As a team, the Trailblazers shot 48 percent from the field and 13 of 40 from the 3-point line as they squandered an early 13-point lead, before rallying in the fourth quarter behind Lillard to escape with the handy win.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves have been in a real slump as they’ve lost 14 of their last 16 games and they will be hoping to bounce back after last night’s narrow loss to the Trailblazers. Karl-Anthony Towns led the team with 34 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, Anthony Edwards added 21 points with eight rebounds while Jaylen Nowell chipped in with 17 points off the bench. As a team, the Timberwolves shot 51 percent from the field and 10 of 26 from the 3-point line as they got off to a slow start and trailed by 13 points early, before rallying with 37 points in the third quarter, before falling victim to another Damian Lillard highlight as the they couldn’t stop the Trailblazers in the final minutes.

Looking at the betting trends, the Trailblazers are 4-1 ATS in their last five games playing on zero days’ rest, 10-4 ATS in their last 14 road games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record. The Timberwolves are 15-35-1 ATS in their last 51 home games, 0-3-1 ATS in their last four games playing on zero days’ rest and 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

Head to head, the under is 6-2 in the last eight meetings overall, the Trailblazers are 22-8 ATS in the last 30 meetings in Minnesota and the Trailblazers are 40-14-2 ATS in the last 56 meetings overall.

The Timberwolves will be disappointed with last night’s loss, especially because they outrebounded the Trailblazers by 56-34 while outscoring them in the paint by 60-40, but they committed 18 turnovers and don’t have anyone to turn to during crunch time, while the Trailblazers have Lillard. I’m expecting another close game in this meeting, but the Trailblazers are 22-8 ATS in the last 30 meetings in Minnesota and I think that trend continues here as the Trailblazers win again.
