The Portland Trail Blazers play host to the Sacramento Kings at the Moda Center on Wednesday night.

The Sacramento Kings have been in decent shape as they’ve won five of their last eight games overall, but they will be looking to bounce back here after getting bounced by the Timberwolves in a 119-115 loss on Monday. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 29 points and six assists on 10 of 20 shooting, Domantas Sabonis tallied 24 points with 10 rebounds and four assists while Harrison Barnes chipped in with 19 points. As a team, the Kings shot 46 percent from the field and five of 27 from the 3-point line as they went back and forth with the Timberwolves in a close contest, until the Timberwolves used a 21-10 run to pull away in the fourth quarter.

Meanwhile, the Portland Trail Blazers have been in terrible form as they’ve lost nine of their last 10 games overall and they will be hoping to snap a three-game skid after getting destroyed by the Pelicans in a 124-90 loss on Monday. Keon Johnson led the team with 20 points and six assists off the bench, Kevin Knox added 15 points while Drew Eubanks chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Trail Blazers shot just 38 percent from the field and seven of 33 from the 3-point line as they got off to a terrible start and were never in the contest after getting outscored by 34-14 in the first quarter.

Looking at the betting trends, the Kings are 7-1 ATS in their last eight road games, 5-2 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a losing record and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. The Trail Blazers are 1-6 ATS in their last seven home games, 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team above .600 and 2-6 ATS in their last eight games overall.

Head to head, the over is 5-2 in the last seven meetings overall and the over is 6-1 in the last seven meetings in Portland.

The Kings don’t have a single player listed on the injury report, while the Trail Blazers are still without Damian Lillard, Jusuf Nurkic, Jerami Grant and Anfernee Simons. The Kings have cooled off a bit recently, but they are 7-1 ATS in their last eight road games and I expect them to make light work of this slumping Trail Blazers missing all of their best players. The line is definitely hefty, but the Kings have more than enough firepower to get the job done in this spot.
