The Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs do battle at the AT&T Center on Wednesday night.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been in a real slump lately as they’ve lost nine of their past 11 games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a third straight defeat after falling just short to the Mavericks in a 104-102 road loss on Monday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 34 points, six rebounds and five assists, Luguentz Dort added 18 points while Josh Giddey chipped in with 10 points, six rebounds and five assists. As a team, the Thunder shot just 43 percent from the field and 11 of 35 from the 3-point line as they struggled right from the start and trailed this one by as many as 22 points, before rallying in the fourth quarter to cut the deficit to just two points with 25 seconds remaining.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been in a slump of their own as they’ve lost 10 of their past 12 games and they will be hoping to bounce back after getting routed by the Suns in a 121-107 home loss on Monday. Jakob Poeltl led the team with 23 points, 14 rebounds and four assists, Dejounte Murray added 18 points with eight rebounds and four assists while Doug McDermott chipped in with 15 points on six of 10 shooting. As a team, the Spurs shot 44 percent from the field and nine of 30 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 35 points in the third quarter to lead by as many as 12 points, before getting completely blown out in the fourth quarter where they managed just 16 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Thunder are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games, 16-5 ATS in their last 21 games against a team with a losing record and 21-8-1 ATS in their last 30 games overall. The Spurs are 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games following a loss of more than 10 points and 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall.

Head to head, the under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings in San Antonio, The Thunder are 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings in San Antonio and the Thunder are 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall.

The Thunder haven’t been able to build much momentum all season and they will be kicking themselves after coming up just short against the Mavericks in their last outing. The Spurs have been in worse shape, so they will be eager for any win to get their season back on track. You couldn’t bet your hard-earned money on either side with much confidence, but I’m leaning towards the Spurs to snap out of their slump with a much-needed win in this spot.
