The Atlanta Falcons and the Dallas Cowboys meet Sunday in NFL action from AT&T Stadium.

The Falcons are 0-1 on the young season coming into this matchup. Atlanta took a 38-25 loss at home to the Seahawks in Week 1. As for the Cowboys, they’re 0-1 as well this year. Dallas fell to the Rams in a closer game 20-17 on the road. Check back all season long for free NFL picks and NFL predictions at Sports Chat Place.

Atlanta had a rough game versus Seattle in their opening game last weekend. That said, the Falcons were close at halftime, down just 14-12. The third quarter didn’t go so well however, as Atlanta was outscored 14-0; despite 13 points in the fourth quarter, the Falcons couldn’t even get near catching up.

Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan looked pretty good in Week 1, going 37-of-54 for 450 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Todd Gurley led the rush on 56 yards with one touchdown, and Julio Jones had 157 yards on nine catches. Calvin Ridley was the receiving star however, with his 130 yards and two scores on nine grabs.

Over on the Cowboys’ side, they had a pretty intense battle against the Rams in the opener last weekend. Dallas scored first and was down just 14-13 at halftime. The Rams managed a touchdown in the third quarter however, and the Cowboys couldn’t find the end zone after that. It was a tough 20-17 loss that Dallas will kick themselves over all year.

Dallas quarterback Dan Prescott went 25-of-39 for 266 yards and a touchdown in the Week 1 loss. Ezekiel Elliott led the rush with 96 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries, and Amari Cooper led the receiving attack on 10 catches for 81 yards. Rookie CeeDee Lamb had a nice debut with five catches for 59 yards.

The Falcons are 4-0 ATS in their last four road games and 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games in Week 2. Atlanta is also 6-2 ATS in their last eight versus the NFC and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following an ATS loss.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games in Week 2 and 6-1 ATS versus a team with a losing record. Dallas is 4-1 ATS in the last five games following an ATS loss and 4-1 ATS in their last five games on turf.

Pick: Even though it has inflated, I still like the number on Atlanta here. Dallas opened up as favorites by more than a touchdown, and conventional wisdom would say this will be a pretty close and higher-scoring game. Atlanta can certainly put up points, but they’ll also offer the Cowboys an opportunity to flex their offensive muscle as well. Should be an entertaining game, and I think the Falcons can keep it close at least.
