The Green Bay Packers and the New Orleans Saints meet in week 3 NFL football action from Mercedes-Benz Superdome as part of Sunday Night Football.

The Green Bay Packers will look to build on their 42-21 win over the Detroit Lions in their last outing to push forward to 2-0 this season. Aaron Rodgers has thitemn for 604 yards and 6 touchdowns on 67.6% passing while Aaron Jones leads the Packers in rushing with 234 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns. Davante Adams has a team-high 17 catches on 20 targets for 192 yards with 2 touchdowns while Marquez Valdes-Scantling has 7 catches for 160 yards and Allen Lazard has 108 receiving yards this season. Defensively, Christian Kirksey leads the Packers with 24 total tackles including team-highs of 15 solo and 9 assisted tackles while Za’Darius Smith has 2 sacks and 2 tackles for a loss this season.

The New Orleans Saints will look to build on their 1-1 start after a 34-24 loss to Las Vegas in their last matchup. Drew Brees has thitemn for 472 yards, 3 touchdowns and an interception on 64.7% passing while Alvin Kamara leads the Saints in rushing with 95 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns this season. Kamara also leads New Orleans in receiving with 14 catches on 17 targets out of the backfield for 146 yards while Jared Cook has 93 receiving yards and Tre’Quan Smith has 90 receiving yards as well this season. Defensively, Demario Davis leads the Saints with 14 total tackles, the same number as Janoris Jenkins with Jenkins logging a team-high 11 solo tackles this season. Trey Hendrickson leads the Saints with a pair of sacks as well this season.

Green Bay is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games against the NFC. New Orleans is 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games overall and 27-13-1 ATS in their last 41 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 games as a favorite. Green Bay is 1-5 in the last 6 meetings between these two teams.

These are two of the better offensive teams in the league and while the defense has stepped it up in recent years, the fact remains that the Packers are allowing 27.5 PPG while the Saints are allowing 28.5 PPG. These are also two teams that struggle to defend the Red Zone, sitting in two of the bottom three spots in the league. I think we see a high-scoring affair here so I’ll abck the over as my free pick for this game but my stronger play is on the side and I have that available as a premium play that you can find here.
