The Brooklyn Nets play host to the Golden State Warriors at the Barclays Center on Monday night. Here’s a Nets vs Warriors Prediction.
Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors have been in decent shape as they’ve split their last six games, but they will be hoping to bounce back here after coming up short to the Hawks in a 141-134 overtime road loss on Saturday. Stephen Curry led the team with a season-high 60 points on 22 of 38 shooting, Jonathan Kuminga added 16 points while Klay Thompson chipped in with just 10 points on four of 19 shooting. As a team, the Warriors shot 44 percent from the field and 18 of 56 from the 3-point line as they leaned heavily on Curry who was able to carry the team, until the Hawks opened the overtime period on an 11-0 run to slip away from them in the end.
Brooklyn Nets
Meanwhile, the Brooklyn Nets are starting to heat up as they’ve won three of their past four games and they will be eager to keep it going after blowing past the shorthanded 76ers in a 136-121 road win on Saturday. Cam Thomas led the team with 40 points and five assists on 14 of 26 shooting, Mikal Bridges added 23 points while Lonnie Walker chipped in with 20 points off the bench. As a team, the Nets shot 51 percent from the field and 20 of 51 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the 76ers from the start, setting the tone with 38 points in the first quarter, before they poured in another 38 points in the third quarter to lead by as many as 30 points.

- Each of the Nets’ last four games against Pacific Division opponents have gone OVER the total points line.
Golden State Warriors Team Facts
- The Warriors have won each of their last 11 Monday games against Eastern Conference opponents that held a losing record.
- The Warriors have covered the spread in each of their last eight games as underdogs against opponents who are on the first leg of a back-to-back.
- Each of the Warriors’ last nine road games against opponents who are on the first leg of a back-to-back have gone OVER the total points line.
Nets vs Warriors Prediction
The Warriors are going to be shorthanded here with Andrew Wiggins still listed as doubtful, while the Nets are still missing Ben Simmons, Dorian Finney-Smith and Day’Ron Sharpe. The Warriors were starting to get something going before they fell to the Hawks on Saturday despite 60 points from Curry, while the Nets are starting to feel good after beating the 76ers for their third win in their last four games. These two teams last met on Dec 16 and it was the Warriors who won by 124-120, but the way things have been recently, I’m more comfortable going with the Nets to get their revenge at home.
