The Oklahoma City Thunder invade the Ball Arena to battle the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night.

The Oklahoma City Thunder will be hoping for a better showing after getting stopped in their tracks by the Timberwolves in a 115-108 road loss in their season opener. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 32 points, six rebounds and five assists, Tre Mann added 12 points off the bench while Josh Giddey tallied 14 points with 11 rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Thunder shot just 38 percent from the field and 14 of 45 from the 3-point line as they got off to a sluggish start and had to claw their way back from an early 16-point deficit, only to see their hard work go down the drain in the fourth quarter where they managed just 21 points to allow the Timberwolves off the hook.

Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets will be looking to stay hot after outlasting the Warriors in a 128-123 road loss last night. Nikola Jokic led the team with a triple-double of 26 points with 12 rebounds and 10 assists, Bruce Brown added 20 points while Michael Porter Jr and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope each scored 17 points. As a team, the Nuggets shot 53 percent from the field and 15 of 34 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the Warriors right from the start and never looked in danger after exploding for 70 points in the first half to lead by as many as 20 points. The Warriors did make a run in the second half, but the Nuggets did just enough to stay in front in the end.

Looking at the betting trends, the Thunder are 28-11 ATS in their last 39 road games, 25-12-1 ATS in their last 38 games against a team with a losing record and 6-1 ATS in their last seven games playing on two days’ rest. The Nuggets are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 home games, 3-7-1 ATS in their last 10 games playing on zero days’ rest and 1-5 ATS in their last six games against a team with a losing record.

Head to head, the under is 3-0-1 in the last four meetings overall and the Thunder are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings overall.

The Thunder will be looking to bounce back after falling short to the Timberwolves in their first game of the season, but it won’t be easy against a Nuggets team who just took down the Warriors. Jamal Murray sat out last night’s win due to load management as he looks to work his way back into full fitness, but the news is that he should be good to go for this one. The Nuggets are playing this one on zero days’ rest and there is always a chance of a letdown performance after such a good win over the Warriors, but the Nuggets really should be able to get the win and cover at home in this spot.
