The Milwaukee Bucks and the Phoenix Suns collide at the Footprint Center on Thursday night.
The Milwaukee Bucks have been in stellar form as they’ve won eight of their past 10 games overall and they will be eager to build on their current four-game win streak after making light work of the Lakers in a 131-116 road win on Tuesday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 44 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists, Bobby Portis added 23 points, Khris Middleton scored 21 points while Jrue Holiday chipped in with 15 points, seven rebounds and 10 assists. As a team, the Bucks shot 54 percent from the field and 15 of 36 from the 3-point line as they came out swinging and exploded for 78 points in the first half which allowed them to cruise in the second half as they led by double-digits all the way. Antetokounmpo barely missed all night as he made 17 of 20 from the field without committing a single turnover.
Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have been in red-hot form as they’ve won 14 of their past 15 games overall and they will be aiming for a fourth straight victory after sneaking past the 76ers in a 114-109 road win on Tuesday. Devin Booker led the team with 35 points, Mikal Bridges added 23 points on nine of 14 shooting while Chris Paul tallied 16 points with 12 assists. As a team, the Suns shot 45 percent from the field and just six of 26 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in trouble after trailing by 14 points in the third quarter,
Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games against a team above .600 and 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall. The Suns are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games against a team with a winning road record and 4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record.
Head to head, the over is 7-2-1 in the last 10 meetings overall, the Bucks are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings in Phoenix and the Bucks are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings overall.
The Bucks have been building nicely and they would’ve taken plenty of confidence from their dominant win over the Lakers on Tuesday, while the Suns have been on fire lately and they just took down the red-hot 76ers thanks to another big game from Booker. The Suns will again be without Landry Shamet, Cameron Payne and Abdel Nader who are all out, while the Bucks are almost at full strength. It’s hard to split these two elite teams, but the Bucks are 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings overall and they looked so good in their last outing, so I think they can stay hot with a statement win on the road.
