The Phoenix Suns play host to the Sacramento Kings at the Footprint Center on Wednesday night. Here’s a Suns vs Kings Prediction. This article will include a Suns vs Kings Pick.
Sacramento Kings Betting Preview
The Sacramento Kings were good enough to win 40 games last season to finish 9th in the West, only to get dropped in the Play-In Tournament. It was anything but a smooth ride for the Kings who got rid of the coach in the middle of the season before trading away De’Aaron Fox who was leading the team, averaging 25.0 points and 6.1 assists per game. Zach LaVine attempted to fill his shoes with averages of 22.4 points and 3.8 assists per game, DeMar DeRozan played 77 games and averaged 22.2 points and 4.4 assists per game while Domantas Sabonis averaged 19.1 points, 13.9 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game.
As a team, the Kings scored 115.7 points per game while shooting 47.8 percent from the field and 35.7 percent from the 3-point line. The Kings made plenty of moves in the offseason as they moved on from Jake LaRavia, Jonas Valanciunas and Trey Lyles while acquiring Dario Saric, Drew Eubanks and Russell Westbrook. It’s hard to know what to expect from the Kings after such a tumultuous season, but I think we will see a similar result, with them just making the Play-In Tournament before getting knocked out.
Phoenix Suns Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns will be hoping to move on from a massively disappointing campaign where they won just 36 games despite having star players Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal in the lineup. The Suns have since moved on from those two-star players and acquired Dillon Brooks, Jordan Goodwin, Jalen Green and Mark Williams while drafting Khaman Maluach with the 10th overall pick.
The backcourt combination of Green and Booker looks great on paper, but their biggest weakness was always on the defensive end, where they ranked fourth worst in the league. However, they were able to address that with the addition of Williams and Brooks. The lineup certainly doesn’t look as dangerous compared to what they had last season, but the only way is up for this Suns squad if Green can mesh with Booker early in the season.

Suns vs Kings Prediction
The Kings are going to be missing a couple key players to start the season, with Keegan Murray and Domantas Sabonis both ruled out already. The Suns will be without the newly acquired Jalen Green as he continues to deal with a hamstring injury. The Kings were a real mess last season, and you could say the same about the Suns, who had lofty expectations with players like Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant in the lineup. However, a new season presents a new opportunity for both franchises.
You couldn’t back either side with much confidence these days, but the Suns have opened as slight favorites at home, and I like the moves they made in the offseason to provide more support to Devin Booker. This is a game I would rather stay away from, but if I had to choose, I would lean towards the Suns to get the narrow win and cover at home in this spot behind a big game from Booker.
