The Los Angeles Lakers travel to the Golden 1 Center to take on the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been in decent shape as they’ve won three of their past five games, but they will be hoping to bounce back here after getting completely torched by the Suns in a 130-104 road loss on Monday. Dennis Schroder had himself a nice game of 30 points on 12 of 19 shooting, Kendrick Nunn added 17 points off the bench while Thomas Bryant and Lonnie Walker each scored 16 points. As a team, the Lakers shot 44 percent from the field and 12 of 28 from the 3-point line, but the writing was on the wall early in this one as the Lakers allowed the Suns to get hot early and just never challenged after falling behind by 26 points going into halftime.

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings have been in decent shape as they’ve won six of their last 10 games, but they will be looking to come out strong after falling just short to the lowly Hornets in a 125-119 loss on Monday. De’Aaron Fox led the team with 37 points on 14 of 25 shooting, Domantas Sabonis added 28 points with 23 rebounds and seven assists while Malik Monk chipped in with 12 points off the bench. As a team, the Kings shot 47 percent from the field and 12 of 33 from the 3-point line as they worked hard to claw their way back from a 12-point deficit, only to let it slip in the fourth quarter where the Hornets poured in 34 points to escape in the end.

Looking at the betting trends, the Lakers are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games, 2-10-1 ATS in their last 13 games against a team with a winning record and 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight games overall. The Kings are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 home games and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games against a team with a losing record.

Head to head, the over is 23-11-1 in the last 35 meetings in Sacramento and the Lakers are 7-1 ATS in the last eight meetings in Sacramento.

The Lakers are going to be shorthanded once again as Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves are both out, while Russell Westbrook is listed as questionable. The Kings have their own injuries to deal with as they are keeping an eye on Harrison Barnes and Domantas Sabonis who are both questionable for this one. It’s hard to split these two teams at the moment, but with the Lakers so banged up, I’ll side with the Kings as long as Sabonis is able to suit up, so be sure to check the starting lineups before tipoff.
