The Memphis Grizzlies and the San Antonio Spurs duke it out at the AT&T Center on Wednesday night.

The Memphis Grizzlies have gone off the boil lately as they’ve lost three of their past five games and they will be hoping to bounce back after getting routed by the Mavericks in a 104-91 road loss on Sunday. Ja Morant led the team with 35 points, 13 rebounds and six assists, DeAnthony Melton added 12 points with five assists off the bench while Jaren Jackson Jr. chipped in with 10 points, but no other player finished in double figures. As a team, the Grizzlies shot just 37 percent from the field and a miserly four of 24 from the 3-point line as they struggled right from the start and managed just 34 points in the first half to fall behind by 14 points at halftime and things didn’t get much better in the second half as they fell behind by as many as 22 points.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been in a rut as they’ve lost eight of their past 11 games, but they will be eager to build some momentum after making light work of the Rockets in a 134-104 road win last night. Dejounte Murray led the team with 19 points and 10 assists, Jakob Poeltl added 18 points with nine rebounds on nine of 13 shooting while Keldon Johnson chipped in with 16 points on seven of 10 shooting. As a team, the Spurs shot a sizzling 57 percent from the field and 12 of 32 from the 3-point line as they poured in 66 points in the first half to take a 15-point lead into halftime, before exploding for 39 points in the third quarter where they led by as many as 33 points.

Looking at the betting trends, the Grizzlies are 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record, 13-3 ATS in their last 16 road games and 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games overall. The Spurs are 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games, 0-5 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games playing on zero days’ rest.

Head to head, the over is 5-2 in the last seven meetings overall, the Grizzlies are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings overall and the Grizzlies are 5-1-1 ATS in the last seven meetings in San Antonio.

The Grizzlies will again be without Kyle Anderson, Dillon Brooks and Desmond Bane while Brandon Clarke is listed as questionable. The Spurs were in terrible shape before last night’s dominant win over the Rockets and they are 0-5 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record, while the Grizzlies have cooled off lately with three losses in their last five games and they looked flat in their loss to the Mavericks on Sunday. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the Spurs pulled off the minor upset at home after what I saw from them last night, but the Grizzlies are 5-1-1 ATS in the last seven meetings in San Antonio and they’re still the more consistent team despite being a little below their best right now. This should be a close contest, but the Grizzlies have the advantage of extra rest as they haven’t played since Sunday, so I’m backing them to get the narrow win and cover in this spot.
