The Oklahoma City Thunder travel to the FedExForum to take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night.
The Oklahoma City Thunder have been in decent form as they’ve won four of their last six games overall and they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after beating the Hawks in a 121-114 road win on Monday. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the team with 35 points, six rebounds and five assists, Josh Giddey tallied 17 points with five rebounds and four assists while Luguentz Dort chipped in with 11 points and 10 rebounds on four of 16 shooting. As a team, the Thunder shot 45 percent from the field and 12 of 34 from the 3-point line as they struggled to contain the Hawks and trailed in this one by as many as 14 points in the third quarter, before they came to life with 37 points in the fourth quarter to make it look easy in the end.
Meanwhile, the Memphis Grizzlies have been in great form as they’ve won five of their past six games and they will be eager to build on their three-game win streak after beating the Heat in a 101-93 win on Monday. Tyus Jones led the team with 28 points and 10 assists, Santi Aldama added 18 points and 10 rebounds while Dillon Brooks chipped in with 17 points. Aa team, the Grizzlies shot 46 percent from the field and eight of 32 from the 3-point line as they held the Heat to just 19 points in the second quarter to take the lead into halftime, before they held the Heat to just 16 points in the fourth quarter to pull away and earn the gritty win despite a poor shooting night.
Looking at the betting trends, the Thunder are 36-15 ATS in their last 51 road games, 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games against a team above .600 and 4-0 ATS in their last four games overall. The Grizzlies are 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a losing record and 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall.
Head to head, the over is 6-1 in the last seven meetings overall, the Thunder are 1-5 ATS in the last six meetings in Memphis and the Thunder are 3-9 ATS in the last 12 meetings overall.
The Thunder will be shorthanded again as Kenrich Williams is out again, while the Grizzlies are missing Desmone Bane and Ziaire Williams is listed as questionable. The Thunder are finally starting to build some momentum as they’ve enjoyed the continuity in their starting lineup, while the Grizzlies have continued to win games despite being plagued by injuries all season. The Grizzlies have predictably opened as home favorites, but they’re just a little banged up right now and I think the Thunder can take advantage in this spot.
