The Sacramento Kings and the Milwaukee Bucks duke it out at the Fiserv Forum on Wednesday night.
The Sacramento Kings have been in great form as they’ve won 10 of their last 13 games overall and they will be aiming for a fourth straight victory after beating the Bulls in a 110-101 home win on Sunday. Malik Monk led the team with 20 points and five assists off the bench, Harrison Barnes added 17 points on six of 10 shooting while De’Aaron Fox chipped in with 16 points, seven rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Kings shot 46 percent from the field and 13 of 43 from the 3-point line as they dominated the first half to lead by as many as 18-points, but they had to regroup and rally in the fourth quarter after the Bulls clawed their way back.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks have been in fine form as they’ve won five of their last six games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after sneaking past the Magic in a 109-102 road win on Monday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 34 points, 13 rebounds and five assists, Bobby Portis added 18 points with 10 rebounds while Jrue Holiday chipped in with 17 points, eight rebounds and 10 assists. As a team, the Bucks shot 44 percent from the field and 13 of 40 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the Magic early and dominated most of the game to build a 19-point lead before they finished on free throws to earn the narrow win in the end.
Looking at the betting trends, the Kings are 14-5-1 ATS in their last 20 road games, 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team above .600 and 13-5 ATS in their last 18 games overall. The Bucks are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record and 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight games following a win.
Head to head, the over is 22-5 in the last 27 meetings overall and the over is 9-0 in the last nine meetings in Milwaukee.
The Kings are keeping an eye on Terence Davis who is questionable for this one, while the Bucks have listed Serge Ibaka as questionable with an illness. The Kings have quietly been one of the hottest teams in the league and they will be fully rested as they haven’t played since their win over the Bulls on Sunday. The Bucks have opened as favorites again and they should have Brook Lopez back in the lineup after he was rested on Monday to bolster their size in the paint. I think the Bucks stay hot with another win here, but it won’t be easy against this confident Kings team, so I’ll take the points in what should be a close one.
