The Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks meet Wednesday in NBA preseason action at the Madison Square Garden.

The Cleveland Cavaliers look for another win to improve to 3-0 in the preseason. The Cleveland Cavaliers are averaging 111.5 points on 50.3 percent shooting and allowing 105 points on 43.9 percent shooting. Cedi Osman is averaging 23 points and five rebounds while Isaac Okoro is averaging 16.5 points and 2.5 assists. Darius Garland is the third double-digit scorer and Dante Exum is grabbing two rebounds. The Cleveland Cavaliers are shooting 34.4 percent from beyond the arc and 72.5 percent from the free thitem line. The Cleveland Cavaliers are allowing 38.1 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 50 rebounds per game.

The New York Knicks look for a preseason win to improve to 2-1 in exhibition action. The New York Knicks are averaging 90.5 points on 42.5 percent shooting and allowing 91.5 points on 37.2 percent shooting. RJ Barrett is averaging 20 points and 4.5 rebounds while Julius Randle is averaging 14.5 points and seven rebounds. The Cavaliers are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 road games. The Knicks are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The under is 4-1 in Cavaliers last 5 road games. The over is 8-2 in Knicks last 10 overall. The Cavaliers are 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings in New York.

Not sure what’s gotten into the Cleveland Cavaliers, but they’re shooting the lights out of the gym and getting impressive play from guys who likely won’t even be part o the rotation this season. The New York Knicks have a lot of open playing time and it’s led to two decent performances. However, the Cavs have been impressive for what it’s worth. I’ll take the free point.
