The Orlando Magic have been one of the hottest teams in the league as they’ve won 12 of their last 14 games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back after having their six-game win streak halted by the Knicks in a 121-106 road defeat last night. Franz Wagner led the team with 30 points on 10 of 22 shooting, Moritz Wagner added 20 points with 12 rebounds off the bench while Jalen Suggs chipped in with 14 points. As a team, the Magic shot just 43 percent from the field and nine of 39 from the 3-point line, but their issues were on the defensive end as they just had no answer for the Knicks and allowed 106 points in the first three quarters to trail by as many as 37 points at one stage.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia 76ers are starting to turn the corner as they have won three of their past five games overall and they will be gunning for a season-high third straight victory after outlasting the Hornets in a 110-104 road win last night. Paul George led the team with 29 points and eight assists on 10 of 16 shooting, Tyrese Maxey added 21 points with seven assists while Jared McCain chipped in with 17 points on seven of 10 shooting off the bench. As a team, the 76ers shot 46 percent from the field and 16 of 40 from the 3-point line, but this win was set up by their effort on defense as they held the Hornets to just 20 points in the first quarter to open a 19-point lead which proved to be just enough to hold off the Hornets who rallied with 35 points in the fourth quarter.

The Magic are still missing Paolo Banchero, Gary Harris and Goga Bitadze, while the 76ers are still missing Joel Embiid due to personal reasons. The Magic were running through teams on a nightly basis before they laid an egg against the Knicks in their last outing, but I think they can bounce back against this 76ers team who were absolutely ice-cold before winning their last two games. It wouldn’t be a shock if the 76ers pulled off the minor upset at home, but the Magic have been the more consistent team all season and I think they get back on track with a win and cover in this spot.
