The New York Knicks and the Phoenix Suns duke it out at the Footprint Center on Friday night.

The New York Knicks have been in a real slump as they’ve lost 10 of their last 11 games overall and they will be hoping to put an end to a six-game slide after getting routed by the new-look 76ers in a 123-108 road loss on Wednesday. RJ Barrett continued his hot form with a team-high 30 points and seven assists, Julius Randle added 24 points while Immanuel Quickley chipped in with 11 points off the bench. As a team, the Knicks shot just 42 percent from the field and eight of 28 from the 3-point line as they dominated the early going to lead by as many as 16 points, before getting run down in the third quarter where they got outscored by 38-19. Alec Burks had a rough night of just nine points on two of 11 shooting while Evan Fournier finished with just three points on one of eight shooting.

Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns have been in fine form as they’ve won nine of their past 12 games overall and they will be eager to stay hot after blowing past the Trail Blazers in a 120-90 home win on Wednesday. In the absence of their starting backcourt in Chris Paul and Devin Booker, the Suns did it by committee as Cameron Johnson led the team in scoring with 20 points, DeAndre Ayton added 18 points while Jae Crowder and Mikal Bridges each scored 15 points. As a team, the Suns shot 50 percent from the field and 14 of 36 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 34 points in the second quarter to take a 15-point lead into halftime, before holding the Trail Blazers to just 42 points in the second half to make it a complete blowout.

Looking at the betting trends, the Knicks are 1-7 ATS in their last eight road games, 0-4 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record and 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Suns are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following an ATS win.

Head to head, the over is 4-1 in the last five meetings overall, the Knicks are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings in Phoenix and the Knicks are 4-16-1 ATS in the last 21 meetings overall.

The Knicks are again without Derrick Rose, Quentin Grimes and Nerlens Noel, while the Suns will also be shorthanded as they are still missing Devin Booker and Chris Paul. The Knicks will rarely get a better chance to beat the Suns while two of their best players are sidelined, but they’re stuck in their worst slump of the season, so I’d rather go with the Suns who are coming into this one fresh off a 30-point win over the Trail Blazers. The Knicks are only 4-16-1 ATS in the last 21 meetings overall and I think that trend continues here as the Suns stay hot wither another win.
