The New Orleans Pelicans have been in decent form as they’ve won seven of their last 11 games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back here after having their two-game win streak halted by the Bulls in a 124-118 road loss on Saturday. Zion Williamson led the team with 27 points on 10 of 15 shooting, Brandon Ingram added 23 points with six rebounds and six assists, Herbert Jones added 17 points while Jonas Valanciunas tallied 15 points with 10 rebounds. As a team, the Pelicans shot 50 percent from the field and eight of 25 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in control when they poured in 32 points in the second quarter to build a 10-point lead, only to go ice-cold and get outscored by 39-21 in the third quarter to allow the shorthanded Bulls to pull away in the end.

De’Aaron Fox led the team with 26 points and 16 assists, Malik Monk added 26 points on nine of 14 shooting off the bench while Domantas Sabonis tallied 17 points with 15 rebounds and seven assists. As a team, the Kings shot 48 percent from the field and 16 of 34 from the 3-point line as they took control of the contest with a dominant 39-20 second quarter push, before they held off a late charge from the Nuggets who cut their 17-point lead to just three points late in the fourth quarter.

The Pelicans come into this one as the team in better form overall, but they didn’t look good in their disappointing loss to the shorthanded Bulls who were playing without Zach LaVine on Saturday. On the other hand, the Kings are coming into this one fresh off a win over the in-form Nuggets and they’ve won six of their first eight home games, so I like the Kings to get the job done at the short line at home.
