The Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers collide at the Fiserv Forum on Monday night.
The Indiana Pacers have been in a slump as they’ve lost eight of their past 12 games, but they will be aiming for a third straight victory after taking down the Heat in a 109-106 overtime road win last night. Domantas Sabonis led the team with 17 points and 11 rebounds, Myles Turner added 16 points with five blocks while Justin Holiday and Doug McDermott each scored 15 points. As a team, the Pacers shot just 38 percent from the field and 15 of 45 from the 3-point line as they squandered an 11-point lead, before escaping in overtime as Holiday drained consecutive 3-pointers to carry the Pacers over the line.
Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks have been in red-hot form as they’ve won 11 of their past 12 games and they will be aiming for seventh straight victory after taking down the Spurs in a 120-113 home win on Saturday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 26 points with eight rebounds and 15 assists, Khris Middleton added 23 points, Jrue Holiday scored 21 points while Donte DiVincenzo chipped in with 12 points, 13 rebounds and three assists. As a team, the Bucks shot 48 percent from the field and 14 of 38 from the 3-point line as they rallied back from an early 14-point deficit, before using a pivotal 9-2 run in the fourth quarter to pull away and escape with the win.
Looking at the betting trends, the Pacers are 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games against a team with a winning record, 2-6 ATS in their last eight road games and 8-20 ATS in their last 28 games overall. The Bucks are 1-5 ATS in their last six games playing on one days’ rest and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall.
Head to head, the under is 9-3 in the last 12 meetings overall, the Pacers are 0-5 ATS in the last five meetings in Milwaukee and the Pacers are 1-6 ATS in the last seven meetings overall.
The Pacers haven’t been able to build much momentum lately, so they would have taken so much confidence from their consecutive wins over the Heat. The Bucks have been on fire lately, but the news is that Giannis Antetokounmpo is expected to sit this one out, so they’ll be shorthanded here. The Pacers are playing this one on zero days’ rest and they are only 0-5 ATS in the last five meetings in Milwaukee. I’d rather steer clear of this one, but if I had to choose, I’d lean towards the Bucks winning and just barely covering the spread.
