The Los Angeles Clippers have struggled to find their footing this season, but they will be feeling much better after taking down the Spurs in a 124-99 road win on Monday. Paul George led the team with 28 points and six assists on 11 of 16 shooting, Kawhi Leonard added 21 points, Norman Powell scored 19 points off the bench while James Harden chipped in with 13 points and 10 assists. As a team, the Clippers shot 47 percent from the field and 12 of 36 from the 3-point line as they made it look easy in this one, jumping all over the Spurs with 66 points in the first half, before they finished with a flurry in the fourth quarter to earn the much-needed blowout victory.

Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs have been one of the coldest teams in the league as they are now looking to put a halt to a nine-game slide after getting blown out by the Clippers on Monday. Keldon Johnson led the team with 22 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, Cedi Osman provided the spark off the bench with 17 points while Zach Collins chipped in with 12 points. As a team, the Spurs shot 43 percent from the field and 10 of 38 from the 3-point line as they struggled to keep up with the Clippers from the start, getting outscored in every quarter and they only got nine points out of Victor Wembanyama who shot four of 12 from the field in a quiet outing.

The Clippers are finally starting to build a bit of momentum following a rough start to the season and they really needed their big win over the Spurs to take some pressure off their shoulders. The Spurs will surely put up a better fight in this one after getting embarrassed on Monday, but I don’t think it will be enough as the Clippers get the win on the road again. This game means a lot more to the Clippers and I think they make it look easy once again.
