The Orlando Magic invade the Crypto.com Arena to battle the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night.

Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic kicked off their season with a couple wins over two rebuilding teams in the Rockets and the Trail Blazers, but they suffered their first defeat last night against the Lakers in a 106-103 road loss. Gary Harris was the hottest player on the court as he led the team with 17 points with five 3-pointers, Franz Wagner added 16 points, eight rebounds and four assists, Jalen Suggs scored 15 points while Markelle Fultz chipped in with 14 points and eight assists. As a team, the Magic shot just 40 percent from the field and 14 of 35 from the 3-point line, but they poured in 34 points in the second quarter to lead for a majority of the game, only to allow the Lakers to slip away late in the fourth quarter where they missed on two wide open 3-pointers to send the game into overtime.

Los Angeles Clippers

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have won two of their first three games of the season and they will be eager to stay hot after blowing past the Spurs in a 123-83 home win on Sunday. Kawhi Leonard led the team with 21 points, Paul George tallied 19 points with five assists and five steals, Russell Westbrook added 19 points with eight rebounds while Bones Hyland chipped in with 18 points off the bench. As a team, the Clippers shot 51 percent from the field and 16 of 42 from the 3-point line as they dominated right from the start, holding the Spurs to just 37 points in the first half, before they poured in 37 points in the third quarter themselves to put the game to bed early. No starters played more than 28 minutes with the game already over by the third quarter.

Peter’s Pick

The Magic are a little shorthanded again as Kevon Harris is still out, while the Clippers have ruled out Terance Mann and they are keeping an eye on Norman Powell who is questionable due to left foot soreness. The Magic would’ve taken so much confidence from last night’s narrow loss to the Lakers as they were the better team for a majority of the contest, but now they’re playing on zero days’ rest against the Clippers who have looked great so far this season. The Clippers still have a couple players out, but they have looked like the better team so far and I think they take care of business at home in this spot.

Joe Hall's Free Pick: Los Angeles -6.5
